The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) resumed their field operations in the eastern countryside of the Homs Governorate this week, targeting Daesh’s positions in the Jubb Al-Jarrah District.

Led by the 11th Tank Division and National Defense Forces (NDF), the Syrian military declared the liberation of Al-Tarawi, which is a town based northeast Abu Alaya village.

According to a military source, the Syrian Army entered Al-Tarawi yesterday, but were unable to capture the whole town until this morning, following a short battle with the remaining Daesh terrorists in the region.

The source added that more than ten terrorists were killed during the attack and at least three armored vehicles fitted with anti-aircraft machine guns were demolished.

The Syrian military will look to progress north from Al-Tarawi, as they attempt to upend the remaining terrorists from the Jubb Al-Jarrah District of Homs.
