The city of Aden and the southern provinces have been witnessing an upsurge of popular anger against forces affiliated with the Saudi-led coalition, particularly the UAE presence in Aden. The people of Aden dropped pictures of UAE Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed and flags of the UAE and trampled on them with their feet.

Activists on “Twitter” circulated a video clip showing the people of the capital city of Aden on the streets against the UAE and its policies in Yemen in general and Aden in particular.

According to the video, which was monitored by “a number of news sites,” the demonstrators dropped all the images of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed and the UAE flags in the province.

The video showed the demonstrators trampling on the image of “Ibn Zayed” and the flag of the UAE with their feet, while others carried out the mission using cars.

The protests erupted after breakfast in the area of Bajaman and quickly spread to all neighborhoods of the city, causing traffic to stop after cutting all the roads with stones and igniting tires to protest the deterioration of services and electricity blackouts.

Residents of Mukalla city in Hadramout province this morning witnessed widespread popular protests against the deterioration and collapse of the services.

The citizens told the officer that the protests will continue and escalate until the scourge is lifted from the city of Mukalla, which they described as afflicted.

The protests and angry demonstrations that are taking place in Aden and a number of southern provinces emerged following the recent events in the island of Socotra, indicating a blatant Saudi/UAE occupation.
