The Yemeni army forces on Sunday managed to destroy three military vehicles belonging to the coalition in Durihimi district in Yemen’s Hodeidah province, a military official told YemenExtra.
The mechanisms were destroyed by improvised explosive devices planted by army’s engineering unit, killing all those on board, the official added.
On the other hand, the coalition launched a number of airstrikes targeting Red Sea Mill Factory in Al-Hale district, injuring 19 civilians and over 40 raids on Kilo 16 area and nearby places in Al-Hale district.
In March 2015, the US backed –Saudi-led coalition started a war against Yemen with the declared aim of crushing the Houthi Ansarullah movement, who had taken over from the staunch Riyadh ally and fugitive former president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, while also seeking to secure the Saudi border with its southern neighbor. Three years and over 600,000 dead and injured Yemeni people and prevented the patients from travelling abroad for treatment and blocked the entry of medicine into the war-torn country, the war has yielded little to that effect.
