Member of the Supreme Political Council, Mohammed Ali Al-Houthi, said on Sunday that the unilateral withdrawal by the Army and Popular Committees from the Hodeidah ports came after the rejection of the Saudi-led coalition and its mercenaries to implement Stockholm agreement.

“The unilateral withdrawal confirms that the cause of obstructing the implementation of the Stockholm Agreement are the aggression countries,” Al-Houthi said on Twitter.

He added that “the withdrawal will begin Saturday at 10 am,” confirming that “the aggression is the one who obstructs peace efforts and prolongs the famine.”

In another tweet, Al-Houthi held “the Security Council and the United Nations full responsible for the continuation of the worst humanitarian crisis as a result of the siege on Sana’a Int. Airport and non-delivering salaries amid at starving Yemeni people”.

He demanded “taking action against the aggression countries after the people, leadership and Army and Committees had proved their support for peace by the unilateral withdrawal from ports.”

The United Nations declared on Friday that the Yemeni Army and Popular Committees have announced that they will withdraw unilaterally from three major ports from May 11 to 14.
