Member of the Supreme Political Council (SPC) Mohammed Ali al-Houthi on Monday held the United Nations responsible for consequences of the siege being imposed by Saudi-led aggression coalition countries on Yemen.

In a tweet on his Twitter account, al-Houthi noted that the United Nation “as an executive authority has legitimized the siege through the inspection mechanism.”

“We have not heard a statement by Assistant Secretary of the United Nations condemning holding eight UN-licensed oil vessels by the aggression coalition,” al-Houthi said.

The lack of an independent and impartial international probe into violations and crimes committed against millions of Yemenis was a major cause of the worsening humanitarian catastrophe and the continuation of daily killing in Yemen.

The Unjust siege, the continuous bombardment, the stifling crisis and all that caused by the war waged by Saudi-led aggression against Yemen in general, have created a tragic environment for malnourished children, which has affected Yemeni children in the first place and the society as whole in all its categories.
