Yemen’s Agriculture Sector Lose More Than 16 Million$ as a Result of the Coalition

The Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation announced on Tuesday the amount of damages and losses in the agricultural sector in Yemen due to the war waged by the US-Saudi alliance to exceed 16 billion dollars. The ministry explained in statistics that they were announced during an exhibition showing the damages and losses on the agricultural sector since the beginning of the alliance to be two billion, 246 million and 625 thousand dollars.

Statistics added that the total indirect losses on the agricultural sector as a result of the 10-country coalition, supported by the United States, until Mar.2017 amounted to 13 billion , 759 million and 690 thousand dollars. The participants in the event called on the international organizations to take action and stop the ongoing attack as well as the siege that exacerbated the suffering of the Yemeni citizens, and to provide the necessary support to rebuild Yemen.

The exhibition included photographs, documents and lectures that show the local and foreign public the horror and brutality of this war against Yemen, as well as scenes of crimes committed against the Yemeni people by targeting cattle farms , sheep, poultry and trees.
