Hold demonstration in Aden against illegal Hadi after sacking of Zoubeidi

Thousands of Yemenis have held a demonstration in the southwestern port city of Aden to reject the recent sacking of senior officials by illegal president Hadi.

The protestors held banners depicting Zoubeidi and reading, “No regions. We all are with the leader Aidarous al-Zoubeidi and the drive for independence.”

Hadi dismissed Aden Governor Aidarous al-Zoubeidi and State Minister Hani bin Breik on April 27 over their alleged close ties with UAE.

Illegal President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, in an interview with Middle East Eye, has accused Mohammed bin Zayed of behaving like an occupier of Yemen rather than its liberator.

The UAE’s foreign minister, Anwar Gargash, has criticized the sacking of the two men described as close to the UAE.

Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Dubai’s head of security, said in a tweet “Replacing Hadi is a Gulf, Arab and international demand”, adding ” “The first steps toward a solution in Yemen would be to end Hadi’s reign, which has eroded with time.”

the United Arab Emirates is trying to establish control over the strategic island of Socotra in the Arabian Sea, which resigned president Hadi had rented out to the Persian Gulf kingdom for nearly a century.

The Yemeni Southern, an al-Qaeda hotbed, under Saudi-led Coalition since 2015.
