The Yemeni Joint forces announce a new air defense system, shut down Saudi F-15

The Missile Force in Yemeni Joint Military have announced, on Saturday, a new air defense system( anti-aircraft weapon system), successfully tested against Saudi warplane (F-15) in Najarn south-eastern Sa`ada last night.

The Missile Force confirmed in a statement that a new air defense system launched on Saudi warplane in Najran and shut down it successfully.

It no gave further details about ” Missile specifications ” which described it a qualitative weapon, saying in a statement” we will keep for us the details and specifications of these air defense system, which comes as first air defense system for Yemeni Joint Military.”

The anti- aircraft weapon system will provide protection to air defense units, civil targets, and military bases from Saudi air attacks especially at the low to extremely low ranges, a military source told YemenExtra.
