“Zulfiqar” Missile Rocks Lod Airport… A Precision Operation by Yemen’s Missile Force Disrupts the Entity and Supports Gaza
Early Thursday morning, the Missile Force of the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out a precision military operation targeting Lod Airport in the occupied Jaffa area. This action comes as part of an escalating military campaign in support of the Palestinian people and in opposition to the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
According to an official statement from the armed forces, the operation employed a “Zulfiqar”‐type ballistic missile, which struck its target with high accuracy. The impact triggered air‐raid sirens across more than 300 Zionist towns and cities, driving millions of settlers into shelters and tunnels, and paralyzing all air traffic at the struck airport.
The statement affirmed that this operation represents a victory for the Palestinian cause and a rejection of the “genocidal crimes” committed by the Zionist enemy in Gaza. It is also part of what the Yemeni military leadership describes as “supportive operations,” aimed at expanding missile responses against military and strategic targets in the occupied territories.
The Yemeni Armed Forces stressed that such operations will continue and intensify until the aggression on Gaza ceases and the siege is fully lifted. They also highlighted ongoing efforts to enhance both missile and field capabilities, thereby improving operational effectiveness in this pivotal struggle.
This strike follows closely on the heels of a dual operation carried out days earlier by Yemeni forces, which targeted Lod Airport, the Ashdod port, and the Ashkelon power station using “Palestine 2” hypersonic missiles, along with a large‐scale drone attack on the port of Umm al-Rashrash. At that time, the occupation authorities themselves admitted that their defense systems failed to intercept the attacks, describing them as the most precise and disorienting since Yemen began its military support for Gaza.
