Hunger, malnutrition claim 18 Palestinians in Gaza in 24 hours amid ongoing enemy aggression

The number of martyrs due to hunger and malnutrition in the Gaza Strip has risen to 18 in 24 hours, a dangerous indicator of the worsening humanitarian catastrophe facing the population as a result of the ongoing blockade and Israeli aggression on the Strip.
According to the Palestinian News Agency (Wafa), medical sources reported that hospitals in Gaza receive hundreds of cases daily suffering from acute fatigue and serious symptoms resulting from hunger, including memory loss and severe energy shortages, amid a near-total shortage of beds and medical supplies.
The sources indicated that the total number of deaths due to hunger has reached 86 people so far, including 76 children, most of them in the northern Gaza Strip, where approximately 17,000 children suffer from severe malnutrition. At least 800 children are suffering from severe and life-threatening malnutrition.
The director of al-Shifa Medical Complex confirmed that medical teams have been working without food for more than 24 hours, warning of an increase in the number of deaths in the coming hours due to the lack of food and treatment. He said, “We are facing an organized genocide by starvation.”
UNRWA warned of a doubling of malnutrition rates among children under the age of five, noting that it conducted nearly 74,000 tests between March and June, revealing thousands of cases of global acute malnutrition.
Hospitals are completely unable to meet health needs, as the enemy continues to prevent the entry of food, medicine, and fuel, threatening the complete collapse of the health system and an increase in deaths in the coming days.
