Treacherous Zionist Airstrike Assassinates a Citizen and Wounds Another in the Town of Al-Khiyam in Southern Lebanon

In a new episode of the ongoing series of Zionist crimes against the Lebanese people, the Zionist enemy carried out today, Monday, a treacherous airstrike targeting the old slaughterhouse neighborhood on the eastern outskirts of the town of Al-Khiyam in the Marjeyoun district. The strike resulted in the martyrdom of one Lebanese civilian and the injury of another.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health initially reported two casualties from the aggression, before later announcing that one of the wounded had succumbed to his injuries, raising the toll of this attack to one martyr and one injured.

The assaults were not limited to Al-Khiyam; they were accompanied by intense Zionist artillery shelling targeting areas between the towns of Ramiya and Aita al-Shaab in southern Lebanon, in addition to heavy shelling of the southern outskirts of Yaroun—underscoring the Zionist enemy’s continued repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement.

This crime comes just days after the enemy committed a new massacre that claimed the lives of four Lebanese civilians last Friday, as a result of Zionist airstrikes targeting areas in the Bekaa and southern Lebanon.

This latest Zionist escalation confirms that the ceasefire agreement, which came into effect on November 27, 2024—more than a year after the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon opened the southern front in support of Gaza—is nothing more than ink on paper for an occupying entity that honors no covenant and whose flank cannot be trusted.
