U.S.–Israeli Escalation After the Failure to Subdue the Palestinian Resistance
U.S. President Donald Trump, enraged by the steadfastness of the Palestinian resistance and the intensifying operations against the Israeli occupation forces in Gaza, issued an “ultimatum” to Hamas, giving it until 6:00 p.m. Washington time on Sunday to surrender and hand over the Gaza Strip to the Zionist entity.
In statements made today, Trump declared:
“There must be an agreement with Hamas by 6:00 p.m. Sunday, Washington time.”
He stressed that this was Hamas’s “final chance,” boasting that the so-called “great, powerful, and wealthy nations of the Middle East and its surroundings,” in cooperation with the United States and with Israel’s approval, had all “agreed to peace after 3,000 years of conflict in the Middle East.”
Trump went on to threaten:
“If no agreement is reached by this final deadline regarding Gaza, the gates of hell will open against Hamas in an unprecedented way.”
A Threat Amid Global Outrage Over Israeli Aggression
These remarks came just hours after Israeli occupation forces seized 40 ships belonging to the Global Flotilla of Steadfastness, which carried around 400 international activists bound for Gaza to break the siege.
The interception sparked widespread international condemnation, as observers described it as a turning point in global awareness of U.S.–Israeli war crimes, exposing to the world the ongoing genocide and starvation campaign imposed on Gaza for the past two years.
According to analysts, Trump’s aggressive rhetoric marks a joint U.S.–Israeli escalation following their failure to break the will of the Palestinian resistance, which continues to launch powerful and coordinated strikes against the occupying forces despite overwhelming military pressure.
The statements, they note, reveal Washington’s direct complicity in the ongoing war of extermination, confirming that the so-called “peace initiatives” are merely political cover for genocide and colonial domination in Palestine.
