Iranian Foreign Minister: Any Change in Borders Is Unacceptable — Our Strength and Diplomacy Are the Shield of Our Nation’s Interests

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi affirmed today that Iran will not accept any change to its borders or to the geopolitical map of the region, stressing that national power and diplomacy together form the shield that protects the interests and dignity of the Iranian people.

During a meeting with university students in Hamadan, Araghchi described the recent war as a “great school” that demonstrated Iran’s resilience and revealed the readiness and technological advancement of its armed forces. He emphasized that Iran’s missile capabilities have proven their effectiveness despite American and European support for the Israeli enemy.

Araghchi noted that deterrence is not limited to military strength alone, but also encompasses cultural, economic, and social dimensions—ensuring that any hostile move against Iran would carry multiplied consequences.

On the issue of the Zangezur Corridor, he stressed that Tehran is closely monitoring all developments, declaring that Iran will not relinquish a single inch of its territory, and that regional security can only be achieved through cooperation among countries within the “3+3 Initiative.”

Regarding the nuclear negotiations, the minister explained that dialogue is a tool for safeguarding national interests, emphasizing that the lifting of sanctions must be carried out in a manner that preserves the dignity of the Iranian people.
He reiterated that Iran’s foreign policy is founded on independence and constructive engagement with any party that acts in accordance with Iran’s national interests.

Araghchi concluded:

“Iran stands firm, strong, and ever-present in defending its interests. Every threat will shatter before the will and unity of our people.”
