A Major Blow to an International Spy Network: The Ministry of Interior Reveals Recruitment Methods

The Ministry of Interior has revealed details of a high-level security operation that led to the arrest of an international espionage network linked to a joint operations room consisting of elements from the American CIA, the Israeli Mossad, and the Saudi intelligence service. The arrests came after extensive surveillance and continuous tracking of the network’s hostile activities.

According to the ministry, the spies were recruited and lured through a variety of sophisticated methods, including:

Using humanitarian organizations and aid projects as cover to move freely and carry out intelligence missions.

Penetrating social and cultural activities as a prelude to military espionage — as happened with one recruit while he was in Cairo in 2023.

Deploying agents linked to the so-called “mercenary government” to make contact with targeted individuals and connect them to officers in the joint operations room.

Offering fake jobs and investment opportunities under the guise of companies or organizations to attract and recruit targets.

The Ministry of Interior emphasized that this strategic counterintelligence operation dealt a severe blow to hostile intelligence agencies and foiled their plots aimed at undermining the security and stability of Yemen.

The statement concluded with a firm warning:

Yemen’s security agencies will continue to confront and dismantle all forms of treachery and espionage that serve the Zionist enemy and its allies, reaffirming the country’s determination to protect national sovereignty at all costs.
