WHO calls for opening all Gaza crossings for continuous flow of medical aid

The World Health Organization (WHO) called on Monday for the opening of all crossings and roads in the Gaza Strip to allow for a continuous and increased flow of medical aid.

In a post on its X platform, monitored by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the organization announced that it had received 72 tons of medical supplies for the Gaza Strip in El Arish, Egypt, via the European Union’s 40th Humanitarian Air Bridge.

The WHO stated that the shipment included essential medicines, equipment and supplies for treating blood disorders, and water quality testing equipment.

A ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip came into effect on October 10th, following a two-year Israeli offensive. However, the Israeli army continues to violate the agreement daily and prevents the entry of most humanitarian aid into the Strip.
