Hamas: Operation South of Bethlehem is natural response to Zionist attempts to liquidate Palestinian Cause

The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) stated that the heroic vehicular and stabbing operation that occurred near the “Gush Etzion” settlement south of Bethlehem on Tuesday evening is a natural response to the Zionist enemy’s attempts to liquidate the Palestinian cause.

In a press statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the movement considered this operation a response to the escalating aggression practiced by Zionist enemy soldiers and settlers in the West Bank and Jerusalem, including killings, arrests, demolitions, settlement expansion, and continuous incursions.

It affirmed that the continuation of the criminal Zionist aggression against the Palestinian people, attempts to impose field realities in the Gaza Strip, and ongoing Judaization and annexation plans in the West Bank will not pass without confrontation and field response.

It added: “Our people have the right to resist the occupation and respond to its crimes and violations. This operation is but an inevitable result of the Zionist enemy’s persistence in its aggression against our people, land, and sanctities.”

It continued: “Our people will continue their steadfastness and adherence to their legitimate rights, and will thwart all liquidation and displacement attempts.”

Hamas warned of the danger of the field situation if the Zionist enemy continues its aggression and brutality, renewing its call to the international community to act and pressure to restrain the Zionist enemy from its ongoing crimes.

It concluded: “The world must side with the victim instead of aligning with the executioner.”
