Palestinian Factions: The UN Security Council resolution is a failed American trusteeship… and resistance remains a legitimate right

Palestinian factions and political forces have reiterated their rejection of the resolution issued by the UN Security Council under American pressure, affirming that the decision constitutes blatant interference in Palestinian affairs and an attempt to impose coercive arrangements aimed at undermining the national rights of the Palestinian people.

In a joint statement issued Tuesday, the factions stressed that the resolution completely disregards the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state, and seeks to impose a new political reality in the Gaza Strip that serves the agendas of Washington and the Zionist entity.

The Palestinian forces warned that any international force being promoted for deployment in the Strip would turn into a tool of guardianship and a new instrument of aggression, emphasizing that its real purpose is to complete what the occupying enemy failed to achieve through war and destruction.

The factions affirmed that the Palestinian people will not accept any form of imposed trusteeship or externally dictated arrangements, and that resistance will remain their steadfast choice to defend their land and identity. They called on all free people around the world to support the resilience of Gaza and the Palestinian people in the face of Israeli aggression and unjust international interference.

The Palestinian forces stressed that any international role must be limited to protecting civilians from aggression and carried out under UN authority and in full coordination with official Palestinian institutions, without granting the occupying entity any powers. They reaffirmed their rejection of any foreign military presence or international bases in the Strip.

The factions concluded that the resolution represents international complicity in the ongoing crimes against Gaza and fails to demand an end to the aggression, stressing that Palestinian resistance will remain the protective shield of the Palestinian people, and that all attempts at imposed trusteeship will not deter them from defending their rights and freedom.
