Hamas Representative in Yemen: UN Security Council Resolution Aims to Hand Gaza Over to American Colonial Control… Resistance Remains Our Choice

The Hamas representative in Yemen, Muath Abu Shammala, affirmed that UN Security Council Resolution 2803 represents a practical transfer of control over the Gaza Strip from the Israeli occupation to American colonial administration, stressing the movement’s categorical rejection of this decision, which targets Palestinian resistance and threatens the independence of Gaza.

Speaking to al-Masirah, Abu Shammala said there are ongoing attempts to pressure Hamas into accepting the proposed international force, but he emphasized that any force entering Gaza under American administration will be considered a party to the conflict. He reiterated that Palestinian factions have a clear and unwavering position rejecting any form of guardianship or imposed administration over the Strip.

He also pointed out that some Arab states have begun recruiting 30,000 Palestinian police officers to enter Gaza as part of the new U.S. administration’s plan—an attempt to seize control of the Palestinian national decision.

Abu Shammala added that the message of support sent by Chief of Staff Major General Yusuf al-Madani to the al-Qassam Brigades provided significant moral and political backing to the Palestinian resistance. He noted that the slogan raised by the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyid Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, “You are not alone,” reflects Yemen’s stance—both its army and its people—standing firmly with the Palestinian cause, sending a clear message to Washington and the Israeli occupation.

He further stated that the recent Israeli aggression on the Ain al-Hilweh refugee camp expresses Tel Aviv’s anxiety over the growing strength of resistance forces—Hezbollah and Hamas—as they rebuild and reinforce their capabilities. Meanwhile, the West Bank, he warned, faces grave danger due to escalating displacement policies, economic restrictions, and settlement expansion.

Abu Shammala concluded by asserting that the Palestinian resistance will not allow Israel or the United States to impose a new reality on the ground, affirming that the Palestinian people’s right to defend their land and holy sites is a legitimate and sacred right that cannot be compromised.
