WFP: Displaced Families in Gaza Face Winter in Flooded Tents, Spoiled Food
The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) said today, Wednesday, that displaced people in the Gaza Strip are bracing for winter in tents flooded by rain.
In a post on the “X” platform, monitored by the Yemen News Agency (Saba), the UN program stated that “many families in Gaza are preparing for yet another winter out in the open.”
It noted that they are facing the cold season “in water-soaked tents, with temperatures dropping, in addition to receiving spoiled food supplies.”
The WFP confirmed it is intensifying efforts to reach those most at risk, stressing that the cash assistance it provides is a vital lifeline for vulnerable families as they prepare for winter.
