Widespread Zionist Escalation Against Lebanon: Intensive Airstrikes and Continued Targeting of Civilians

The Zionist enemy has renewed its aggression against Lebanon, launching intensive airstrikes targeting the south and east of the country in a dangerous escalation that reflects the occupation entity’s ongoing policy of violating Lebanese sovereignty and targeting civilians and infrastructure. The raids resulted in injuries, while enemy aircraft continue to fly at low and medium altitudes over the targeted areas, in an attempt to pressure residents and undermine security and stability, amid widespread condemnation of these aggressive practices.

Enemy aircraft carried out a series of airstrikes on various locations in southern and eastern Lebanon on Thursday morning, including the highlands of Bouday and Hermel in the eastern Bekaa, as well as the highlands of Jbour, Qatrani, and Rihan in the south.

The raids also targeted three Zghreen hills in the outskirts of Hermel, another strike on the outskirts of Taria, in addition to an airstrike on the Bouday highlands. A series of consecutive strikes were also carried out on the areas of Jarmak and Mahmoudiya, targeting the Jbour and Rihan highlands, reflecting a broad and deliberate military escalation by the enemy over the past hours.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that four civilians were injured as a result of an airstrike that targeted a vehicle in the town of Taybeh, in the Marjayoun district of southern Lebanon, highlighting the continued deliberate targeting of civilians. The Zionist enemy forces continue their daily assaults on Lebanon by land, sea, and air. The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) has recorded more than 10,000 violations since the signing of the ceasefire agreement on November 27, 2024.

This Zionist escalation underscores the continuation of the policy of daily violation of Lebanese territory and the targeting of civilians and the resistance simultaneously, placing the international community before its responsibilities to condemn this ongoing aggression and halt the occupation’s violations. It also reaffirms the resilience of the Lebanese people and the unity of their resistance in confronting any aggression and safeguarding national sovereignty despite persistent challenges.
