Irish Politician: Western liberal democracy, its media are partners in Gaza genocide

Irish politician and former Member of the European Parliament, Mick Wallace, said on Monday that Western liberal democracy and the media that support it serve the interests of Western imperialism, affirming that their support for “Israel” was a decisive factor in the occurrence of the genocide against the Palestinian people.

Wallace explained in two separate posts on the platform “X,” monitored by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), that the Israeli genocide has not stopped, pointing out that ethnic cleansing operations in the Gaza Strip are still ongoing until today.

He questioned the absence of condemnation from Western countries that claim to care about human rights, in light of the continued crimes committed against the Palestinian people in Gaza.

With American and European support, the Israeli enemy army has committed over two consecutive years since October 7, 2023, crimes of genocide, blockade, and starvation in the Gaza Strip, resulting in the martyrdom of 71,267 Palestinian civilians, the majority of whom are children and women, and the injury of 171,222 others, until today, in a non-final toll, as thousands of victims remain under the rubble and on the roads, unable to be reached by ambulance and rescue crews.
