Zionist enemy continues its attacks against Palestinians in occupied West Bank

A young Palestinian man was wounded by Israeli enemy forces on Wednesday in the town of Silwad, northeast of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.

According to the Palestinian news agency Safa, local sources reported that an Israeli army force stormed the town, shot and wounded a young man, and then arrested him.

The sources added that Israeli soldiers assaulted 15-year-old Ibrahim Awni Faris, beating him after detaining him during the raid.

In a related incident, Israeli military vehicles stormed the towns of Deir Jarir and al-Mazra’a al-Sharqiya, east and northeast of Ramallah.

On Wednesday, Israeli forces also closed the main entrance to the village of Al-Lubban Al-Sharqiya, south of Nablus, and several secondary roads with earth mounds.

Local sources reported that an Israeli army force, accompanied by a military bulldozer, stormed the village, closed several secondary roads, and carried out acts of vandalism in the village’s plain before closing the main entrance with earth mounds.

It should be noted that the entrance to the village of Al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya was reopened only a month and a half ago, after being closed for more than a year and a half.

This closure has exacerbated the suffering of the village’s residents, who endure daily provocations and attacks by settlers, particularly the raising of Israeli flags around homes on the main road connecting the cities of Nablus and Ramallah.

Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces installed several surveillance cameras on Wednesday atop the bridge in the town of Az-Zawiya, west of Salfit in the northern occupied West Bank.

Local sources reported that the cameras were installed on Az-Zawiya bridge. This measure is part of an ongoing policy to intensify surveillance and restrictions on Palestinians, especially given the escalating Israeli measures in Salfit governorate.
