From Sana’a to Venezuela: Al-Farah Reveals How Yemen Broke the Logic of U.S. Hegemony
In a political reading that lays bare the nature of U.S. behavior rooted in coercion and hegemony, Mohammed Al-Farah, a member of Ansar Allah’s Political Bureau, offered a clear diagnosis of the essence of the threats issued by Donald Trump against Latin American countries. He affirmed that Yemen’s steadfastness has provided a practical model for breaking these policies and defeating the logic of force and arrogance, warning that silence in the face of American crimes is the most dangerous gateway to their expansion and emboldenment.
Al-Farah explained that turning a blind eye to the crime committed by Trump against Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro encouraged him to widen the scope of his threats. He cautioned that U.S. targeting will not stop at Venezuela, but will gradually extend to other Latin American countries, including Colombia and Mexico. He stressed that U.S. policy operates on a fixed rule: the more it encounters silence or retreat, the more aggressive it becomes; and the more it confronts a firm stance, the more it recoils and retreats in defeat.
The Political Bureau member noted that Yemen’s confrontation with the United States exposed the falseness of American prestige and proved that a state possessing will, sovereignty, and the capacity to defend its national decision can break threats regardless of their magnitude. He pointed out that Yemen’s achievements were not coincidental, but the result of divine support first, followed by the steadfastness of the Yemeni people, heightened national readiness, and unwavering resistance to aggression—until Yemen transformed from a target arena into a genuine deterrence equation.
Regarding allegations of the Venezuelan president’s involvement in drug trafficking, Al-Farah revealed that these claims were fabricated within U.S. intelligence rooms (CIA) and the circles of Trump’s political advisers, despite Trump’s own lack of conviction in them. He considered such methods part of the traditional American strategy of inventing attractive pretexts to smear adversaries and claim to defend peoples, while the reality is the justification of aggression and hegemony.
Al-Farah further stated that Trump was explicit from day one about Venezuelan oil and his desire to access natural resources without diplomacy or pretense—an exposure of the true core of U.S. policy, which views countries merely as reservoirs of wealth and recognizes neither sovereignty nor independence.
He emphasized that the balance of international relations, as imposed by Washington, recognizes only strength and firmness, and that silence or leniency in the face of threats does not bring peace, but rather opens the door to further coercion and bullying. He affirmed that the Yemeni stance has provided a practical and inspiring model for confronting U.S. threats by relying on national strength, upholding sovereignty, and rejecting submission.
