Sana’a: Event and Cultural Evening in Jahana District Commemorating the Anniversary of the Martyred Leader
The Local Council and Mobilization Committee in Jahana District, Sana’a Governorate, organized a speech event today to inaugurate the activities marking the annual anniversary of the Martyr of the Qur’an, Sayyed Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi, as part of ongoing mobilization efforts and support for the causes of the nation.
During the event, the District Director Saleh Mu’ayadh stated that the martyred leader was an ally of the Qur’an, and through the Qur’an he presented the nation with a unique vision that combined depth, clarity, credibility, broad perspective, effectiveness, and impact—through which he exposed the falsehoods of enemies, their schemes, and conspiracies.
He explained that the martyred leader introduced his Qur’anic project to prepare the nation to assume its civilizational role, and offered an important approach embodied in the slogan of disavowal and boycott, noting that he understood the nation’s pains and provided the remedy to move it from a state of humiliation and subjugation to dignity and honor.
In turn, the district’s Guidance Officer Ahmed Al-Ra’i noted that the martyred leader attained the martyrdom that was his ultimate goal and for which he devoted his life.
He pointed out that the martyred leader advanced the Qur’anic project at a time when the nation was living in a state of humiliation, submission, and dependence on forces of global domination and arrogance, stressing the importance of commemorating the Martyr of the Qur’an to draw inspiration from the values of steadfastness, sacrifice, giving, and dedication, and to strengthen faith-based identity and Qur’anic culture.
The event, attended by the District Security Director Colonel Mohsen Al-Qahoum, featured two poetic recitations reflecting the occasion.
In a related development, a cultural evening was held yesterday in Al-Hisn Al-Abyad Village, Bilad Asnaf sub-district, Jahana District, on the anniversary of the Martyr of the Qur’an, Sayyed Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi.
During the evening, Aziz Al-Rajali, Head of the Technical and Vocational Education Sector in the governorate, and District Director Saleh Mu’ayadh addressed the greatness of martyrdom and the esteemed status of martyrs.
They reviewed pivotal moments from the life and role of the martyred leader, and the greatness of the Qur’anic project that emerged at a time when the nation was experiencing loss, confusion, humiliation, and domination by global colonial powers.
Al-Rajali and Mu’ayadh emphasized the importance of the anniversary in drawing inspiration from the meanings of steadfastness, sacrifice, giving, and generosity, and in strengthening faith-based identity and Qur’anic culture. They urged adherence to the Qur’anic project, describing it as the only project capable of lifting the nation from weakness to strength, and from dependency to dignity and honor.
