Gaza Health Ministry: Child deaths due to extreme cold rise to 7
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Tuesday that the number of child deaths due to extreme cold has risen to seven since the beginning of winter.
The ministry explained in a statement seen by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that a one-year-old girl died in the past 24 hours due to the extreme cold.
The ministry also reported the deaths of three people as a result of a building collapse, bringing the total number of victims of collapses to 24.
This comes amidst a humanitarian catastrophe following a genocide perpetrated against the people of the Gaza Strip for over two years by the Israeli occupation forces.
A ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip came into effect on October 10th, following a two-year-long Zionist war of genocide. However, the Israeli occupation forces continue to violate the agreement daily and prevent the entry of most humanitarian aid into the Strip.
