Systematic Escalation Against Civilians: Three Wounded by Saudi Enemy Fire in Saada

The Saudi enemy army continues its repeated attacks on border areas in Saada Governorate, in a blatant violation of Yemeni sovereignty and all international and humanitarian laws and conventions. A new act of aggression on Saturday resulted in three civilians sustaining varying injuries after direct gunfire targeted the areas opposite Al-Raqw and Al-Sheikh in the border district of Munabbih.

Local and media sources in the governorate reported that civilians were directly targeted while present in the border area, confirming that this crime is part of an ongoing series of daily attacks carried out by the Saudi enemy using various types of weapons. These actions reflect a clear policy of sniper fire and deliberate shelling of villages and populated areas.

This attack follows the injury of two civilians and an African migrant on Friday due to Saudi army fire—one in the border district of Shada—while an African migrant and another civilian sustained serious injuries opposite the Al-Thabit area in the Qatabir district. This escalation underscores the widening scope of targeting to include civilians and travelers along the entire border strip.

Earlier, on Wednesday, a young man was martyred by a mortar shell fired by the Saudi enemy army at travelers opposite the Al-Sheikh area in Munabbih district—an incident that once again exposed the enemy’s disregard for civilian lives and its deliberate conversion of roads and open areas into zones of direct targeting.

For years, the border districts of Saada Governorate have witnessed repeated Saudi attacks involving artillery and missile shelling as well as gunfire, resulting in dozens of civilian casualties and extensive damage to public and private property. These documented crimes reflect the systematic and aggressive nature of the Saudi regime.

Residents of the border areas affirm that this escalation will not break their will to remain steadfast, and that the policy of terror and daily killings pursued by the enemy will not alter the equation of resilience and confrontation, regardless of the intensity of the attacks, amid an international silence that amounts to complicity.
