Shaath announces Gaza administration priorities: security, services, electricity, water

The head of the Palestinian National Committee for the Administration of the Gaza Strip, Ali Shaath, announced on Sunday the committee’s commitment to establishing security and restoring essential services in Gaza, foremost among them electricity, water, healthcare, and education, considering these the cornerstones of human dignity. He added that the committee also aims to support a society based on the values of peace, democracy, and the rule of law.

In a post on the “X” platform, monitored by the Shaath stated that he had adopted and signed the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza’s mission statement, emphasizing that this affirms the mandate granted to the committee and defines its working principles and responsibilities.

He explained that the committee, through its commitment to the highest standards of integrity and transparency, will work to build a sustainable, productive economy capable of transforming challenges into opportunities and replacing unemployment with real job opportunities that guarantee a dignified life for all.

He indicated that the committee believes that peace is the only way to guarantee legitimate Palestinian rights and pave the way for self-determination and building a future based on justice and stability.

He affirmed that the committee The Palestinian Authority, acting in accordance with the powers granted to it under UN Security Council Resolution 2803 and the Peace Plan, is committed to transforming the transitional phase in the Gaza Strip into a solid foundation for sustainable Palestinian prosperity.

He added that its mission is to rebuild the Gaza Strip, not only in terms of infrastructure, but also in revitalizing the social fabric and restoring hope for the future.
