“Gaza Health Ministry”: Over 500 killed since ceasefire, 60% women & children

The Director General of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, Dr. Munir Al-Barsh, said on Saturday that more than 500 people have been killed in the Strip since the ceasefire, including about 180 children and 139 women, making up 60% of the victims.

In a post on X, monitored by SABA, Al-Barsh stated that the health sector in Gaza is collapsing, with severe shortages of medicines and medical supplies, leading to the deaths of more than 1,000 patients while awaiting treatment.

He added that anemia among children under one year has exceeded 82%, intensive care units are operating beyond capacity, and border crossings remain closed, leaving Gaza without adequate medicine or food.
