One Martyr and One Injured by Saudi Enemy Fire in a New Crime Against Civilians

In a new bloody escalation that exposes the falsity of peace claims, one civilian was martyred and another injured on Friday by fire from the Saudi enemy’s army in the border district of Shada District, as part of a near-daily سلسلة اعتداءات targeting civilians in border areas.

Local and security sources in Saada Governorate reported that a Yemeni civilian was killed and another wounded after the Saudi enemy’s forces carried out direct shelling against populated areas in Shada District—an attack added to a growing record of systematic crimes against unarmed civilians.

The assault follows incidents days earlier in which a Yemeni civilian and an African migrant were injured by Saudi fire near the Al Al-Sheikh area in Munabbih District, in addition to another young man wounded near Shada District. This underscores that the targeting is not limited to Yemeni citizens alone, but also includes African migrants, travelers, and workers in border regions.

These repeated crimes confirm the Saudi enemy’s continued violations of UN-brokered understandings, through artillery shelling and direct fire on residential neighborhoods—constituting a flagrant breach of international humanitarian law, which prohibits the targeting of civilians and criminalizes attacks on protected populations.

Such escalating assaults are met with a troubling international silence, reflecting the extent of complicity in the crimes committed against the people of Sa‘ada and encouraging the enemy to persist in policies of killing and intimidation without accountability.

Residents of the border areas reaffirm their commitment to their legitimate right to life and security, stressing that the blood of the martyrs and the wounded will remain a testament to the nature of the Saudi aggression and to the failure of all attempts to whitewash its crimes under false pretexts.
