“Gaza Government” Confirms Completion of All Arrangements for Transferring Government Operations to Technocrat Committee

The Director-General of the Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip, Ismail Al-Thawabta, stated that all government departments have completed the necessary administrative, technical, and organizational arrangements to transfer their administrations to the Technocrat Committee tasked with managing the Strip, immediately upon the committee’s arrival and commencement of its official duties.

Al-Thawabta pointed out in a statement to the “Palestine” newspaper on Sunday that direct communication with the National Committee for Managing Gaza has not yet begun, awaiting the completion of official procedures for its entry and the start of its field work.

He explained that the government has prepared all governmental files in an organized and precise manner through specialized technical and administrative committees, to ensure a smooth and transparent handover process. This aims to guarantee the continuity of government work without any administrative or service vacuum and to preserve the interests of citizens and the stability of public institutions.

He clarified that the most prominent files presented to the committee include urgent humanitarian relief and aid flow; reconstruction and addressing the effects of destruction; the health file and rehabilitating the health system; electricity, water, and sanitation; housing and temporary and permanent shelter; managing crossings and freedom of movement; the regular operation of employees and institutions; and community security and internal stability.

He mentioned that these files represent urgent national and humanitarian priorities and require integrated treatment within a comprehensive and well-considered plan.

He emphasized that the obstruction and restriction practiced by the Israeli enemy authorities against the committee’s work constitutes an extension of the policy of siege and collective punishment and represents a violation of international humanitarian law and a breach of signed agreements and the humanitarian protocol.

He noted that preventing the entry of the committee and obstructing the opening of the Rafah crossing increases the severity of the humanitarian disaster and undermines any efforts for recovery and stability, affirming that the Israeli enemy still relies on the logic of political blackmail and collective punishment.

Al-Thawabta called on the mediators and guarantor parties of the agreement to pressure the Israeli enemy to ensure the immediate and unrestricted entry of the committee into the Gaza Strip, and to open the Rafah crossing permanently and regularly.
