Escalating Terrorism and Ongoing Genocide: Gaza Faces Death and Siege Despite the Truce
The humanitarian tragedy in the Gaza Strip continues, with the number of martyrs and wounded rising daily amidst relentless Israeli aggression and persistent violations of ceasefire agreements.

The death toll from the genocide exceeds 71,000 martyrs.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 71,851 martyrs and 171,626 wounded. These appalling figures reflect the extent of the human devastation inflicted on the Strip and confirm the continued devastation wrought by the Israeli war machine.
In its daily update, the Ministry of Health reported that 27 martyrs and 18 wounded individuals arrived at hospitals in the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours. The Ministry also confirmed that ambulance and civil defense teams are facing extreme difficulties in reaching a large number of victims still trapped under rubble and in the streets, raising concerns about a further increase in the death toll.
Continued Violations of the Ceasefire Agreement and the Handover of Martyrs’ Bodies
Despite the ceasefire agreement coming into effect on October 10, the Israeli enemy continues its daily violations of this agreement. Since the ceasefire on October 11, the Ministry of Health has recorded a total of 574 martyrs and 1,518 injuries, while 717 bodies have been recovered.
In a tragic development, on Wednesday evening, Israeli forces handed over the bodies of 54 Palestinian martyrs from the Gaza Strip, in addition to 66 boxes containing human remains and organs, which were released through the International Committee of the Red Cross. Medical teams are continuing to handle the bodies according to established procedures in preparation for handing them over to the families of the martyrs.
This step comes within the framework of the prisoner exchange agreement and the cessation of hostilities, which stipulates the return of 15 Palestinian bodies for every Israeli prisoner. However, the enemy authorities continue to hold at least 777 documented martyrs as “hostages,” including 96 martyrs from the prisoner movement, 77 children, and 10 women, in addition to hundreds of martyrs from the Gaza Strip whose bodies are being held without disclosing their identities or the circumstances of their detention.
Civil Defense in Gaza: 194 Missions in One Week Despite the Difficulties
Civil defense teams in the Gaza Strip governorates carried out 194 different missions last week, despite the immense difficulties they face as a result of the ongoing Israeli siege.
The Civil Defense Directorate’s weekly report detailed eight firefighting operations, 51 rescue incidents, 83 ambulance missions, and 52 other tasks. These figures reflect the scale of the challenges faced by humanitarian teams amidst the ongoing aggression.
Calls to Lift the Ban on Journalists Entering Gaza
The Palestinian Media Forum called on Thursday for international human rights organizations and global media outlets to intervene immediately and pressure the Israeli occupation authorities to lift the arbitrary ban imposed on the entry of foreign journalists and international media into the Gaza Strip.
The Forum emphasized that the continued absence of independent media coverage constitutes a flagrant violation of Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. It aims to impose a comprehensive media blackout that obscures the truth and hinders the documentation of grave violations against civilians, thus undermining opportunities for international legal accountability. The Forum called for firm public stances to condemn the policy of withholding information and to activate international protection mechanisms for journalists.
UNRWA: Occupation Obstructs Entry of Humanitarian Aid
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) confirmed on Thursday that its humanitarian aid remains stuck in warehouses in Egypt and Jordan, having been prevented from entering Gaza since March 2025. UNRWA emphasized that the life-saving aid is ready to be delivered and that there is no time to lose, calling for the agency to be allowed to provide more essential support on the ground.
This obstruction comes amidst daily violations of the ceasefire agreement, as the Israeli occupation forces continue to prevent the entry of the majority of humanitarian aid into the besieged Gaza Strip.
