Hamas commends suspension of work at over 20 Mediterranean Ports in solidarity with Palestinian people

Hamas commended on Saturday the suspension of work for a full day by the dockworkers’ union at more than 20 Mediterranean ports in solidarity with the Palestinian people, who are facing ongoing Zionist aggression.

In a press statement, the movement said: “We commend the dockworkers’ union at more than 20 Mediterranean ports, particularly in Greece, Italy, Turkey, Spain, and Morocco, for suspending work for a full day under the slogan ‘Doorworkers Do Not Work for War,’ in rejection of arms shipments to the fascist enemy entity and in expression of solidarity with our Palestinian people, who are subjected to ongoing Zionist aggression.”

Hamas called on port workers’ unions worldwide, and all labor unions and federations, to expand their solidarity campaigns with the Palestinian people, who are facing an ongoing war of extermination, and to refuse to participate in the transfer of weapons to the Zionist entity.

Hamas also called for the formation of an effective boycott front to pressure the Zionist enemy to stop its aggression and abide by the ceasefire agreement.
