Sayun: Injuries Reported in STC Protest Where Images of Bin Salman Were Burned
On Friday evening, angry protests erupted in the city of Sayun following a march called for by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC).
STC supporters burned and tore down images of Saudi occupation leaders and images of Bin Salman that had been displayed near Sayun International Airport, despite the airport being under the military protection of Saudi-backed militias.
Media outlets affiliated with the STC reported that heavy gunfire resulted in injuries among the protesters, including a ten-year-old child. Meanwhile, Saudi-backed forces accused STC supporters of being part of an attempt by the UAE to incite unrest and seize control of the airport, holding the UAE fully responsible for the escalation and renewed chaos in the province.
