“Palestinian Al-Ahrar Movement” Holds international community responsible for lives of prisoners in Israeli jails
The Palestinian Al-Ahrar Movement, on Monday, held the Israeli enemy, the U.S. administration, and the entire international community fully responsible for the lives of Palestinian prisoners in the oppressive Israeli prisons.
In a press statement receivedthe movement criticized the international community’s silence regarding the crimes of the Israeli enemy, its double standards, and its disregard for the right of thousands of Palestinian prisoners to live—while every component of the international community and its organizations rushed to protect and release dozens of Israeli hostages from the hands of murderous soldiers stained with the blood of innocent children, women, and unarmed civilians.
The statement added that the Israeli enemy openly demonstrates its criminality and sadism, hastening to enact the death penalty for prisoners and preparing plans and arrangements to implement it, in defiance of the international community , its legal and judicial system.
The movement stressed that what the Israeli enemy and its prison authority intend to carry out against the prisoners constitutes a dangerous precedent, revealing the extent of the systematic suffering , torture inflicted on prisoners daily, leading to slow death and ongoing extermination.
Al-Ahrar called on the United Nations, in both its councils, as well as all human rights and humanitarian organizations, to take immediate action to protect the right of Palestinian prisoners to life and human dignity as prisoners of war, protected under international humanitarian law , treaties, and under the umbrella of the international community’s human justice.
