Ayatollah Khamenei: What sinks an aircraft carrier is more dangerous than the carrier itself, and Iran is unbreakable and cannot be blackmailed.

In a speech carrying clear messages of deterrence and profound strategic implications, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, issued a direct warning to the American administration, emphasizing that displays of military power and threats involving aircraft carriers no longer intimidate Iran, and that the balance of power has fundamentally changed since the victory of the Islamic Revolution 47 years ago.

During a meeting with a large crowd from East Azerbaijan Province, Ayatollah Khamenei stressed that the American president’s insistence on promoting the myth of the “strongest army in the world” does not reflect the reality of the balance of power, emphasizing that this same army could suffer a devastating blow that would render it incapable of recovery.

In a direct reference to the repeated US threats to send aircraft carriers to the region, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution clarified that while aircraft carriers are a military threat, they are not the real source of concern. He stated, “An aircraft carrier is a dangerous weapon, but even more dangerous is the weapon capable of sinking it to the bottom of the sea,” clearly emphasizing that Iran possesses deterrent capabilities that can neutralize the most dangerous US military platforms.

Ayatollah Khamenei recalled the US president’s own admission of Washington’s inability to eliminate the Islamic Republic for 47 years, considering this admission a resounding testament to the failure of the American project. Addressing the US administration, he added, “You will not be able to do that either,” in a firm message denying any possibility of subjugating Iran by force or sanctions.

The Leader of the Revolution criticized the threatening and patronizing tone adopted by the US president, considering it a reflection of an attempt to dominate the Iranian people. He stressed that this nation, guided by its Islamic consciousness, knows very well how to confront pressure and thwart projects of foreign imposition.

Regarding the negotiations, particularly those related to nuclear energy, Mr. Khamenei rejected the logic of preconditional negotiations. He considered the call for negotiations with predetermined outcomes, aimed at depriving Iran of its legitimate rights, to be a “wrong and foolish” approach, unrelated to genuine dialogue. He emphasized that imposing results before any negotiations begin reveals the American mentality, which is based on dictation, not partnership.

Mr. Khamenei concluded by affirming that the Islamic Republic, which has withstood conspiracies and pressures for decades, will not succumb to threats, nor will it compromise its sovereignty or rights. He asserted that Iran’s deterrence equation is firmly established and capable of shattering American illusions of power.
