The Fifth Ramadan Lecture by Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi – 5 Ramadan 1447 AH | 22 February 2026 CE

I seek refuge in God from the accursed Satan.

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

All praise is due to God, Lord of the Worlds. I bear witness that there is no god but God, the King, the Truth, the Manifest. And I bear witness that our master Muhammad is His servant and messenger, the Seal of the Prophets.

O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and bestow Your grace upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You sent blessings and bestowed Your grace upon Abraham and the family of Abraham. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious. And, O Allah, be pleased with his chosen and virtuous companions, and with all Your righteous and striving servants.

O Allah, be pleased with Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and with all Your righteous and striving servants. O Allah, guide us and accept from us, for You are the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing, and accept our repentance, for You are the Oft-Returning, the Most Merciful.

O brothers and sisters:

Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.

In the Quranic stories, Allah, Exalted is He, says about them: {For a people who believe} [Al-Qasas: 3]. He does not present them to us merely as past historical events that have passed and ended, or for entertainment, but rather He presents them within the framework of His guidance for us. Let us benefit from it spiritually: in our trust in God, the Exalted, and in our awareness and insight, in our understanding of divine laws, which we must be fully aware of and act upon in our lives and in our actions.

{For a people who believe} [Al-Qasas: 3], so the fruit of their faith is their strong and unwavering trust in God, the Exalted, and in His true promise, and their steadfastness and resilience even in the darkest circumstances and most difficult times.

We, as a Muslim nation, at this stage of our history, in well-known circumstances, are in a state of weakness and vulnerability. We see the arrogant, oppressive, and criminal forces of tyranny moving with complete clarity toward their aggressive aims and their unjust and criminal practices. The roles have been reversed. Those who were among the oppressed, as we read in the story of the Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) and his struggle with Pharaoh, those who were oppressed in that era, are in our time and age the tyrants who have replaced Pharaoh in his tyranny, surpassing him in his crimes, his arrogance, his pride, and his haughtiness. God has given us lessons from their history so that we may be certain that circumstances can change, and so that our trust in God (Glory be to Him, the Exalted) may be strengthened.

Despite the steps the enemies rely on in deception and misrepresentation, such as the [Trump Council], which they call the [Peace Council]! And what comes within its framework of titles and glittering and deceptive words, they are clear on the practical level in the daily crimes, in their attacks against the Palestinian people, and their escalating targeting of Islamic holy sites, with Al-Aqsa Mosque at the forefront. They have added more restrictions, obstacles and barriers, which constrict the worshipers in it, and limit the access of worshipers to Al-Aqsa Mosque, and they have even set a certain ceiling, and a specific number for the number allowed to pray in Al-Aqsa Mosque, and this is a very dangerous step, a hostile step in every sense of the word, and it is on an escalating path to target Al-Aqsa Mosque; As one of the most important Islamic holy sites, and given that one of the Jews’ main goals is ultimately to destroy Al-Aqsa Mosque, to eliminate it as a great and sacred Islamic landmark, and to replace it with their alleged temple, they are proceeding towards this goal through gradual, insidious steps. They are attempting to suppress any reaction from Muslims and diminish their level of engagement, trying to render the Muslim community apathetic and indifferent to all their actions, until something very dangerous occurs. At the same time, they continue on another front: extending the periods granted to the Zionist Jewish occupiers for their incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque and their desecration of it.

The daily killings in Gaza have not stopped, the demolition of buildings continues, the siege, starvation, and blockade of Gaza persist, the grave violations in the West Bank continue, and the intensified attacks, including airstrikes, on Lebanon persist. All of this occurs despite the aforementioned agreements, guarantors, and commitments, which the Israeli enemy and its American guarantor—a partner in all its crimes and aggression, and a partner in its objectives and conspiracies—have violated.

Among the most recent statements we heard were those of the American ambassador to the Zionist Jews. He stated quite clearly—as an American official expressing his country’s policies and the direction of his administration—that “it would be good if Israel controlled the Middle East, as it has a biblical right to it from the Nile to the Euphrates.” He said this quite frankly, and he has made numerous statements confirming this point: the American position supporting the Israeli enemy in its quest to control this region, its peoples, its countries, and its resources, in what they call “controlling the Middle East” and what they call “Greater Israel.”

Therefore, we must be fully aware that we are a targeted nation, a nation facing this deceptive Israeli-American-Jewish tyranny, whose criminal intent is exposed and clear, and whose stated objectives are explicit and unambiguous.

Therefore, we need a path to salvation, and the path to salvation is clear. The only hope for this nation and its way to deliverance is through holding fast to God, {And whoever holds fast to God has certainly been guided to a straight path} [Al Imran: 101].

Other paths are paths of consumption, depletion, and a waste of time and effort. When the nation places its bets on them, when it pins all its hopes on them, they are but a mirage in a barren desert.
