UNRWA: Essential services must reach civilians even during conflicts
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) emphasized today, Sunday, the importance of ensuring access to essential services for civilians in conflict areas.
UNRWA stated in a post on X, as reported by the that “access to essential services must be guaranteed, even during times of conflict and crises.”
The agency stressed that “education, healthcare, and basic services play a crucial role in enabling people to continue their daily lives and live with dignity.”
It also noted that it “continues to provide essential services across the region to support Palestinian refugees.”
The ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip came into effect on October 10, 2025, following a two-year-long genocidal war by the Israeli forces, although the Israeli army continues to commit daily violations of the agreement.
