The Leader: The Battle of Badr is an Inspiring Milestone in Confronting the Tyrants of Our Time… and the Aggression Against Iran is an Extension of the Hegemonic Project

The Leader of the Revolution, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, affirmed that the anniversary of the Battle of Badr represents a great and inspiring historical milestone in the history of the Islamic nation. He pointed out that it is mentioned in the Holy Quran as “the Day of Distinction” due to its pivotal role in establishing the foundations of truth and inflicting a strategic defeat upon the forces of tyranny and disbelief.

In a speech commemorating the anniversary of the Battle of Badr, the Leader explained that this occasion coincides this year with serious events facing the Islamic nation, foremost among them the confrontation with the “tyrants of our time”—the Americans and Israelis—who lead the forces of disbelief and hypocrisy against the Islamic nation.

He indicated that the aggression witnessed in the region extends from Palestine to Lebanon, passing through Syria and Yemen, culminating in the comprehensive criminal aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran. He emphasized that what is happening reflects an aggressive project aimed at controlling the region, plundering its resources, and subjugating its people.

He explained that the most important lesson from the Battle of Badr is the necessity for the Muslim nation to be a free and independent nation based on its Islamic identity. He emphasized that options relying on diplomacy or resorting to international institutions without possessing the elements of power have not achieved real results in confronting aggression.

The Leader clarified that the Israeli enemy, with American support, seeks to impose a policy of impunity on the Muslim nation through killing, genocide, and aggression. He pointed out that the crimes committed by the enemy in Palestine, particularly in the Gaza Strip over the past two years, provide clear evidence of the aggressive nature of the Zionist project.

He affirmed that the Zionists are striving to implement their expansionist project to control the region, including the attempt to impose what they call “Greater Israel.” He noted that the aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran comes within the framework of this project, given Iran’s influential role in confronting Zionist hegemony in the region.

He also stressed that targeting Iran aims to remove one of the most prominent obstacles to the Zionist project, affirming that what is happening in the region is a clear conflict between right and wrong, and between the aggressors and the oppressed.

The Leader addressed the inaction of some Arab regimes, stating that some of these regimes are not merely passive but actively contribute to protecting American bases used to support aggression against the peoples of the region.

He pointed out that American military bases in Arab countries were not established to protect those countries, but rather to protect the Israeli enemy and implement the American agenda in the region, emphasizing that these bases have become a source of danger to the countries where they are located.

He also called on the Islamic nation to stand with the Iranian people in confronting aggression, noting that Iran has played a significant role in supporting the Palestinian cause and strengthening the nation’s resilience.

The Leader affirmed that the position of the Islamic Republic of Iran is strong at both the official and popular levels, praising the role played by the Iranian army and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in confronting aggression.

He stressed that the current stage represents a clear sorting out of the positions of regimes and forces in the region, indicating that the true losers are those who place their resources at the service of the Zionist project.
