Wave 85 of “True Promise 4”: IRGC Strikes Enemy Heavy Industries, Downs MQ-9, and Destroys F-16

In a significant military escalation reflecting the expansion of its target bank and the precision of its strikes, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on Saturday the execution of a large-scale attack as part of the 85th wave of Operation “True Promise 4.” The attack targeted heavy industries belonging to the US-Zionist enemy, coinciding with the downing of a US strategic drone and the destruction of an F-16 fighter jet.

In an official statement, the IRGC explained that the operation was carried out through an intensive missile and drone attack using long- and medium-range systems powered by solid and liquid fuel, in addition to suicide drones. The statement indicated that the strikes targeted strategic enemy industrial facilities in the occupied territories and other areas, resulting in the destruction of significant portions of them.

The statement indicated that this operation was dedicated to the martyrs of the industrial sector and its workers, given the continued targeting of civilian facilities inside Iran by the American-Zionist enemy, after its inability to engage in direct confrontation on land and sea.

In a significant development, the Revolutionary Guard confirmed that its air defenses, during the operation, shot down an American MQ-9 strategic drone over the city of Shiraz, as the enemy attempted to target Iranian launch sites. This demonstrates the readiness of the defenses and their ability to thwart hostile attacks.

The statement also revealed that an American F-16 fighter jet was hit in southern Fars province before being completely destroyed while attempting to land at an airport inside Saudi Arabia. It noted that the US Central Command acknowledged the aircraft sustained significant damage.

The Revolutionary Guard emphasized that this strike serves as a warning message to the United States, asserting that targeting Iranian industrial facilities will not go unanswered, and that any repetition of such actions will be met with a response exceeding all expectations.

This escalation comes in the context of the ongoing American-Zionist aggression against Iran since February 28, which has resulted in the deaths of hundreds of civilians and targeted vital service facilities, while Tehran continues its response through Operation “True Promise 4”, which is escalating in pace and expanding in scope with each new wave.
