Operation Eaten Straw Escalates: Lebanese Resistance Pounds Enemy Vehicles and Strikes Settlements with Concentrated Barrages and Direct Hits

In an escalating field operation reflecting the steadfastness of the deterrence equation, the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon continued its qualitative operations against the positions and deployments of the Zionist enemy army in the occupied territories. It carried out a series of concentrated strikes targeting enemy vehicles, tanks, and troop concentrations as part of Operation Eaten Straw and in response to the escalating aggression.

In details of the operations provided in successive statements, the Resistance confirmed that its fighters launched a missile attack at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 29, 2026, targeting enemy military infrastructure in the Kfar Vradim settlement. This coincided with an attack on a gathering of enemy soldiers and vehicles in Khallat al-Hajja in the border town of Aitaroun.

The strikes extended to the town of Maroun al-Ras, where enemy concentrations were subjected to repeated missile fire at close intervals from midnight until dawn, in a clear attrition operation aimed at disrupting the enemy and paralyzing its field operations. In a significant escalation, the resistance announced that it had targeted several Merkava tanks with guided missiles, achieving direct hits. A tank was destroyed at the Qusayrat bend in the town of Bayada, and another in Deir Siryan, while two additional tanks were targeted in the vicinity of the town of Beit Leef. This demonstrates the accuracy of the reconnaissance and tracking capabilities and the missile units’ ability to strike their targets with high precision.

The strikes also targeted enemy troop concentrations on the Ghadmatha heights in the town of Ainata, where they were bombarded with successive rocket barrages. An additional concentration in the town of Bayada was targeted with artillery shells, resulting in direct hits on enemy ranks, forcing them to conduct evacuations under heavy smoke cover.

Following previous warnings issued by the resistance to the northern settlements, rocket barrages targeted the settlements of Malkiya, Yir’on, and Avivim, sending a clear message that the settlements are no longer safe from resistance fire and that any escalation will be met with a wider targeting range.

The resistance affirmed that these operations come within the context of defending Lebanon and its people, and are a continuation of the response to the escalating Zionist aggression since the beginning of March. It emphasized that the pace of operations is likely to increase as long as the attacks continue.

These simultaneous and precise strikes reflect a significant development in the resistance’s field performance, whether in terms of the diversity of targets, the accuracy of the strikes, or the breadth of the targeted area. This establishes a new deterrent equation that presents the enemy with a more complex field reality and confirms that the initiative is no longer solely in its hands.
