April 1st, throughout the years of aggression, reveals a complete picture of a war that targeted every aspect of life in Yemen, without exception. From factories that support thousands of families, to camps for displaced people fleeing the bombing, and including fishing boats, farms, and schools, the crimes are repeated on this day, confirming that the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression was not a conventional war, but rather a comprehensive project of destruction targeting people, their livelihoods, and their infrastructure, in flagrant violation of all international laws and norms.

2015: Bombing of Factories and Displacement Camps

On April 1, 2015, the aggression’s warplanes targeted the Thabet Brothers Group factories in Hodeidah Governorate, resulting in the martyrdom of 20 workers and the injury of more than 50 others. The attack also completely destroyed factory equipment valued at tens of millions of dollars, depriving thousands of families of their source of income.

In the same context, airstrikes targeted the Al-Mazraq camp for displaced persons in Hajjah Governorate with three raids, a crime reflecting the deliberate targeting of the most vulnerable groups.

2016: Humanitarian Aid, Schools, and Homes Targeted

On April 1, 2016, the aggression escalated its targeting of humanitarian facilities, bombing a World Food Programme (WFP) warehouse in the city of Mocha, directly impacting relief efforts.

It also targeted a civilian’s home in the Hayfan district, the Al-Nuba school, and civilian areas in Al-Wazi’iyah and Al-Hamli, causing widespread destruction to homes and farms.

2017: Intense Airstrikes and Comprehensive Targeting of the Capital and Governorates

On April 1, 2017, two civilians were killed when their vehicle was targeted in Taiz, while airstrikes hit civilian homes and farms in the Sarwah district of Ma’rib.

The capital, Sana’a, witnessed a significant escalation with 17 airstrikes on the Bani al-Harith district, coinciding with airstrikes on Sana’a and Sa’dah. Public roads and residential areas in Razih, Kataf, and Baqim were targeted.

2018: Border and Naval Bombardment and Targeting of Farms
On April 1, 2018, a child was injured by a Saudi missile strike on Sa’dah, which also witnessed widespread bombardment of border districts.

The aggression extended to the sea, with warships targeting farms in al-Jar, Hajjah. Areas in Lahj, Ma’rib, and Ibb were subjected to artillery and airstrikes that targeted farms and property, directly impacting food sources.

2019: Targeting Fishermen and Homes and Sniper Attacks
On April 1, 2019, coalition warplanes targeted fishing boats off the coast of Hodeidah with three airstrikes, a crime that jeopardized the livelihoods of thousands of coastal families.

A girl was killed by mercenary gunfire, and civilian homes in Hajjah, Sa’dah, and Sana’a were subjected to missile, artillery, and airstrikes, resulting in the destruction of houses and the displacement of families.

2020: Intense Airstrikes and Targeting of Communications and Service Infrastructure

On April 1, 2020, the Saudi-led coalition launched 24 airstrikes on Al-Jawf, in addition to airstrikes on Ma’rib and Sa’dah targeting the communications network, in an attempt to cripple service infrastructure.

The airstrikes also targeted the Haradh customs office and areas in Amran, while Hodeidah witnessed artillery shelling of residential areas, in a multi-pronged escalation.

2021: Air and Reconnaissance Escalation in Several Governorates

On April 1, 2021, reconnaissance aircraft carried out six airstrikes on areas in Hodeidah, while warplanes targeted Sa’dah, Ma’rib, and Al-Jawf with multiple airstrikes, as part of an ongoing escalation.

2022: Widespread Missile Bombardment and Multi-Front Attacks

On April 1, 2022, Saudi missile strikes targeted districts in Saada, coinciding with widespread artillery shelling that struck Marib, Al-Jawf, Hajjah, Taiz, and Al-Dhale’a, reflecting the expanding scope of the aggression.

2023: Remnants of Aggression Kill and Violations Continue

On April 1, 2023, a civilian was killed and another injured by an explosion of unexploded ordnance in Marib, demonstrating the continued threat of war even outside of direct combat operations.

Reconnaissance aircraft also launched raids on Taiz and Hodeidah, coinciding with military movements and repeated shelling in Hodeidah.

2024: New Victims of Unexploded Ordnance

On April 1, 2024, a civilian was killed and another injured by an explosion of unexploded ordnance in the Sirwah district of Marib governorate, highlighting the ongoing bloodshed caused by the deadly remnants of war.
