Hezbollah’s Qualitative Operations Reshape the Equations of Deterrence on the Southern Front
Hezbollah continued its military operations against the Israeli enemy army along the southern front, emphasizing that its attacks are in defense of Lebanon and its people in light of the ongoing aggression.
In its latest statement, the party announced that at 5:00 PM on Saturday, April 4, 2026, its fighters targeted a gathering of enemy soldiers in the Metula settlement with a swarm of attack drones, achieving direct hits.
In previous statements, the party revealed a series of qualitative operations, including targeting enemy artillery positions in the Avivim settlement with a rocket barrage, striking a gathering of occupation vehicles and soldiers at the Friz hill in the town of Ainata, and sniping an Israeli soldier near the Khiam detention center, resulting in a confirmed injury.
It also announced targeting enemy gatherings in the Kfar Yuval settlement with a rocket barrage and in the vicinity of the Samaqa site in the occupied Kfar Shuba hills with a swarm of attack drones. In a related development, Hezbollah confirmed that its fighters targeted Israeli military infrastructure in the occupied city of Safed with a barrage of rockets. Meanwhile, Israeli Channel 12 reported a direct hit on a building in the Safed industrial zone.
Enemy media also acknowledged a series of explosions in Haifa, Carmel, Krayot, and other areas in the north, along with the sounding of sirens in Misgav Am in the Galilee Panhandle.
For its part, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that the ongoing Israeli aggression resulted in the deaths of two children and injuries to 22 people in the southern town of Haboush. This brings the total death toll since March 2nd to 1,422 martyrs and 4,294 wounded, reflecting the scale of the humanitarian catastrophe facing Lebanon.
With this escalating exchange of fire, Hezbollah continues to solidify its deterrence strategy through its targeted operations against enemy positions and equipment, while the occupation persists in targeting Lebanese civilians and infrastructure.
