More than 72,000 martyrs in Gaza: A new and horrifying toll of victims of the ongoing Israeli aggression.

The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced today, Monday, the 18th of Shawwal, a staggering increase in the total number of victims of the Israeli aggression. Medical records document 72,302 martyrs and 172,090 wounded since the start of the genocidal war on the Strip, in a cumulative statistic that reflects the magnitude of the unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe afflicting the population.

The Ministry explained in its field statement that the bloodshed of Palestinians has not stopped despite talk of a truce. Since the supposed ceasefire was declared on October 11th, 723 martyrs have been killed and 1,990 wounded, confirming that the Israeli killing machine has continued to claim lives and disregard all international agreements. The toll in the past 24 hours alone has reached 7 martyrs and 17 wounded, who have arrived at the dilapidated hospitals.

On the ground, the Zionist enemy’s air force continued its systematic targeting of civilians in the northern neighborhoods of Gaza City, where drones launched a treacherous raid near the Sheikh Radwan Bridge, resulting in the martyrdom of two people and a number of injuries. Another raid targeted an electric bicycle in the same neighborhood, leading to additional injuries among passersby, as part of the policy of pursuing citizens and targeting the simplest means of their transportation within the densely populated residential neighborhoods.
