Argentine Press Highlights Leader’s Speech: Yemen Rejects Neutrality if Iran is Attacked

An Argentine Spanish-language media network covered the recent speech by the leader of the Houthi movement, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, describing it as a qualitative shift in the language of regional confrontation.

The Argentine network “Resumen Latinoamericano” noted that the leader issued a strongly worded warning to the United States and Israel, emphasizing that Yemen would not remain idle or neutral if the Islamic Republic of Iran were attacked.

“Resumen Latinoamericano” continued: “In a televised address on Tuesday, the Houthi leader explained that the American-Israeli aggression against the Islamic nation has entered a ‘very dangerous and advanced stage,’ stressing that Yemen’s strategy will be ‘escalation for escalation’ if the enemy repeats its acts of aggression.”

The report continued: “The Yemeni leader pointed out that ‘Israel is the true enemy of the Arabs, not Iran,’ considering Tehran’s stance since the victory of the Islamic Revolution to be principled and honorable, deserving of appreciation, as it confronts the Zionist scheme targeting the entire region. He also strongly criticized the positions of some Arab regimes, describing them as subservient to Zionist logic, and recalling a historical irony: these regimes respected the Shah’s regime for its loyalty to Washington, while today they oppose Iran because of its Islamic stance against occupation.”

The Argentine media network reported: “Al-Houthi concluded his speech by indicating that the current truce between Iran and the United States is ‘fragile’ and nearing its end, warning Arab states against falling into the trap of participating in any offensive actions against the Iranian people or acting as buffers to protect American and Israeli bases, stressing that future rounds of conflict may be inevitable given the continued Zionist ambitions.”
