Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Zionist Aggression Against Palestine and Lebanon a Flagrant Violation of International Law and an Escalation Threatening Regional Security

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned the ongoing Israeli aggression against Palestine and Lebanon.

In a statement, the Ministry affirmed that the continuous bombardment and direct targeting of residential areas, incursions, and attacks by settlers against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, as well as the repeated attacks on Lebanese border towns, constitute a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and the ceasefire. This confirms the aggressive approach of the Israeli entity and its insistence on continuing the escalation and destabilizing security and stability in the region and the world.

The Ministry warned that the Israeli enemy entity is attempting to exploit the world’s preoccupation with the American-Zionist aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran to achieve its malicious aims in Palestine and Lebanon.

The statement emphasized that Palestine is the first line of defense for the nation, and the enemy’s failure in Palestine will thwart its plans in other countries.

He warned that continued Israeli aggression against Palestine, Lebanon, and Iran could drag the region into a wider war that threatens international peace and security.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the Republic of Yemen’s firm and unwavering support for the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples and their legitimate right to self-defense and to confront Israeli aggression.
