The Fall of the “Prado” Spy: Confessions Reveal Espionage Missions Targeting Military Leaders and Capabilities
The Ministry of Interior revealed the confessions of spy Abdulrahman Adel Abdulrahman, which included details about espionage missions he was assigned within a network linked to a joint intelligence room of the American, Israeli, and Saudi enemies.
In his confessions, he stated that he was recruited in 2022 to carry out intelligence missions before being summoned to the Jordanian capital, Amman. There, he met a Saudi officer named “Fahd” and a British intelligence officer named “David,” and was tasked with missions aimed at planting agents within certain formations.
He explained that after returning to Yemen, he was asked to submit names for recruitment. He submitted a large number of names from Sana’a and Hodeidah, in addition to being tasked with gathering information related to the Red Sea, military capabilities, state leaders, and their movements.
He indicated that he later met with a British intelligence officer named “David” in Cairo in 2023, and a military personnel named “John,” who provided him with specialized recording and filming equipment, including devices concealed within ordinary items.
The confessions also included his submission of intelligence information and reports at various times, covering field developments and military activities, in addition to tasks related to gathering data from the surrounding environment.
The confessions further revealed that he was tasked with obtaining information about the Yemeni Navy, the missile force, and missile manufacturing workshops, as well as information about state leaders, their movements, residences, and workplaces.
They also indicated that he received a 2014 Prado vehicle equipped with a tracking device, which was used to monitor his movements, meetings, and locations, as part of the surveillance mechanisms employed by his handlers.
The Ministry of Interior confirmed that these confessions are part of its efforts to uncover the activities of enemy-linked spy networks and to monitor and thwart their attempts within the country.
