From Marib to Hodeidah… May 9th, a bloody day in the record of aggression
May 9th represents one of the bloodiest days in the record of the American-Saudi-Emirati aggression against Yemen. This date witnessed, during the years of aggression, horrific crimes against civilians, resulting in dozens of martyrs and wounded, including women and children, in addition to widespread destruction of homes, public facilities, service facilities, and historical sites.
The crimes of this day reveal the scale of the military escalation and the diversity of targeting methods, from air raids, missile and artillery shelling to targeting residential neighborhoods, markets, mosques, and educational and health facilities, in a scene that reflects the continuation of the all-out war against the Yemeni people.
2015.. Targeting villages and mosques
On May 9, 2015, one citizen was killed and 34 others, including 11 children and three women, were injured as a result of an attack by the aggression aircraft with five missiles on the village of Sawada in Al-Sadda district in Ibb Governorate, which also led to damage to 46 houses, including 19 houses that were completely destroyed.
In Saada Governorate, four citizens were martyred and ten others were injured as a result of targeting the Imam Al-Hadi Mosque in Saada city, which dates back to the year 290 AH. Also, the imam and preacher of the Noah Mosque, Allama Hussein Ibrahim Ahmed Marq, and his relative Amin Abdullah Hussein Al-Amalhi were martyred as a result of a raid that targeted his house located next to the mosque.
The aggression aircraft launched raids on the main street in Saada city, roundabouts, public and private facilities and historical landmarks such as Bab al-Yemen and Al-Sarbi market. It also targeted the Al-Humaidan area in Sahar district with two raids, Majz district with seven raids, Dhahyan city with several raids, Maran area in Haydan district with 16 raids, and the market in Al-Majazin area in Saqin district with one raid.
In Amran Governorate, three members of the government complex’s security detail were injured as a result of it being targeted by the aggression aircraft, which also launched raids on Amran city, Ghulat Ajib in the Rida district, Houth city, Wadi Khaywan in the Houth district, a number of areas in the Harf Sufyan district, Bani Qais intersection, Beit Shuwait in the Bani Sarim district, the center of the Qafleh Adhar district, Ayal Surayh, and Jabal Ayal Yazid.
The aggression aircraft also bombed Sana’a International Airport and Al-Dailami Air Base with four missiles, and launched raids on the building of the College of Oil and Minerals and Ataq Central Hospital in Shabwa Governorate, which led to a number of casualties.
2016.. Targeting paramedics
On May 9, 2016, 13 citizens, including five paramedics, were killed and more than ten others were injured as a result of air raids by the aggression aircraft on the Qarn al-Damam area in Harf Sufyan district in Amran Governorate, leaving widespread damage to public and private property.
The mercenaries of the aggression targeted the areas of Al-Mashjah and Helan in the Sarwah district with artillery and missile shelling. They also shelled the Al-Abdiyah district in Marib governorate with artillery, and the Al-Makhdara area in Al-Jadaan was subjected to shelling with mortars.
In the governorates of Sana’a, Al-Bayda and Al-Jawf, the mercenaries shelled the areas of Baran, Al-Madarij and Jabal Harim in the Nihm district, the Al-Wahbiyah area, and the Al-Maslub and Al-Matun districts with artillery.
2017.. Targeting roads and factories
On May 9, 2017, a child was wounded by gunfire from the mercenaries of the aggression in Al-Matoun district in Al-Jawf governorate, while the mercenaries targeted the house of Ahmed Naji Al-Nasiri in Sarwah district in Marib governorate with Katyusha rockets.
In Taiz Governorate, the aggression aircraft launched two raids on Al-Barh Cement Factory in Maqbana District, and two raids on Khalid Camp in Mawza District. It also targeted a truck loaded with food supplies on the public road linking to Al-Hudaydah Governorate with a raid, and launched seven raids on Al-Omari Camp in Dhubab District.
The air force launched three raids on the Dhoran Anis district in Dhamar governorate, and two raids on the Al-Shahliya area in the Bani Matar district in Sana’a governorate, causing damage to farms and citizens’ property.
It also launched five raids on the Al-Mazraq area in Haradh district in Hajjah governorate, three raids on Al-Durayhimi district in Al-Hudaydah governorate, a raid on Al-Aqaba in the Maran area of Haydan district, a raid on Al-Dhaher district in Saada governorate, and targeted the Al-Amoud site in Jizan with two raids.
