Hajjah Zakat office launches 1st disbursement of project for unemployed
Hajjah Provice Zakat Authority office in the governorate launched on Thursday, at the governorate’s center, the first disbursement of the 2026 project for the unemployed, targeting 5,028 families with disabilities at a cost of 330 million riyals.
At the launch, the director of the governorate’s Zakat office, Fayid al-Malahi, explained that the project had already seen several disbursements in 2025, totaling over 800 million riyals. He noted that the project is part of the Authority’s and its office’s plans to alleviate the suffering of families unable to work and the poorest segments of society.
He pointed out the Authority’s commitment to expanding the base of beneficiaries and ensuring the proper allocation of Zakat funds according to established regulations. He emphasized the importance of the role of Zakat payers and businesspeople in supporting the Zakat Authority’s efforts.
Al-Malahi mentioned that among the most prominent projects implemented by the Zakat Office in the governorate are projects for those unable to work, medical assistance, debtors, in-kind zakat, and other projects that alleviate suffering.
