A bloody toll in the southern suburbs as a result of an Israeli raid on “Al-Muraijah”

The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced on Sunday evening that two people were killed and 20 others were injured in varying degrees as a result of an air raid carried out by Israeli warplanes targeting the Marjeh area in the southern suburbs of Beirut.

This raid comes in the context of an ongoing military escalation, as Israeli aircraft attacked a residential building in the aforementioned area, resulting in widespread destruction at the targeted site and causing serious damage to surrounding properties.

Immediately after the explosion, ambulance and civil defense teams rushed to the scene to recover victims and transport the injured to nearby hospitals for treatment, while the search continued for possible missing persons under the rubble.

Plumes of smoke were seen rising from the targeted site, while panic spread among residents in the densely populated area.

Security forces and rescue teams are working to secure the area and facilitate the movement of ambulances, while no official comment has been issued by the Israeli army regarding the nature of the target it bombed in Al-Muraijah as of the time of writing this report.

The southern suburbs of Beirut, along with large areas in southern Lebanon, are witnessing escalating security tensions amid ongoing mutual military operations.

This raid is a new link in the chain of escalation targeting civilian areas, amid international warnings about the repercussions of the expanding clashes and their impact on the stability of the situation in Lebanon.
