The leader of the revolution, Mr. Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, congratulated the Yemeni people and the Islamic nation on the occasion of the arrival of the new Hijri year 1448 AH, stressing that the anniversary of the Prophet’s migration represents a great historical and religious milestone to draw lessons of steadfastness, resilience, and responsibility, and to renew the conscious practical launch in accordance with the priorities that preserve the nation’s dignity and status.
In a statement issued on this occasion, the leader extended his warmest congratulations and blessings to the people of Yemen and its mujahideen stationed on the front lines, and to the entire Islamic nation, asking God Almighty to make the new year a year of goodness, victory and blessings, and to grant the peoples of the nation what they aspire to in terms of glory and empowerment.
He stressed that the Prophet’s migration was not merely a geographical relocation, but rather a pivotal historical transformation that laid the foundation for the establishment of the Islamic nation and its state, and enshrined the values of faith, sacrifice, patience, and trust in God, noting that this occasion remains a renewed school for generations in facing challenges, creating major transformations, and triumphing over projects of tyranny and hegemony.
The leader explained that Islamic history presented two contrasting models in dealing with the divine message; one was represented by the society of Mecca, which lost the honor of embracing the message as a result of its association with tyrants and the arrogant and its bias towards narrow material interests, while the society of the Ansar in Yathrib embodied the model of faith, giving, altruism and sincere embrace of the Islamic call, so as to gain the honor of victory and success in this world and the hereafter.
He pointed out that these historical lessons are still present in the reality of the nation today, noting that the Yemeni people, with their faith and civilizational heritage, are qualified to continue carrying the banner of Islam and confronting the ignorance of the age led by the United States and the Zionist enemy, and the projects associated with them that target the Islamic nation, its identity and its holy sites.
The leader of the revolution reiterated the firm stance towards the enemies of Islam and humanity, foremost among them America and Israel, who continue to attack Islamic peoples and insult their holy sites, stressing that the responsibility of the nation requires solidarity and cooperation to confront the dangers of the Zionist project and to stand up to the policies of hegemony and arrogance.
The leader stressed the importance of strengthening the unity of the Islamic position and consolidating the principle of “unity of arenas” within the framework of the axis of jihad and resistance, as a necessary option to confront common challenges and defend the issues of the nation, foremost among them the Palestinian cause.
In discussing the requirements of the current stage, he called for serious work to achieve a comprehensive Islamic renaissance, based on adherence to the Holy Qur’an and following the example of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his family and grant them peace, and adopting the means of strength and civilizational development in a way that enables the nation to regain its role and status.
He also congratulated the Islamic Republic of Iran, its leadership and people, on the great victory it achieved in confronting the United States and the Zionist entity, considering it an important event in the context of the confrontation with the forces of arrogance.
